Whenever someone asks who is your first love, I always thought of my family until I found this biography book about Johns Hopkins at my local library. I started to read a page or two and the book already caught my eyes right in the beginning, that's how I know I am in love with this author. I read through everything about his childhood to his death. I've been carrying this book with me for about a month and this book will never bore me and it makes me put a big smile on my face. I love to read about him so much that I always collect his works and accomplishments. I have learned a lot from this book and I will say his life story encourages me to pursue career path in medical field.
Johns Hopkins's achievements were well-known across the world. He inspires me a lot through his hard works and actions. Unlike many other achievers, Johns Hopkins always amazes me with his contributions. Before he passed away, he opened two organizations - Johns Hopkins University and Johns Hopkins Hospital. I am trying my best to be able to attend Johns Hopkins University in two years. I want to study in medical field and I want to become a specialized physician one day. Just like him, I want to educate myself how to be independent, and bring the benefits of discovery to the world. Because of his impact, I kept finding what I can do to prepare for my future and one day I found the solution.
I remember it was on Tuesday night as I was going through Johns Hopkins University website, I found a program called LeadAmerica Youth Leadership Program. It hosts academic and career focused youth development conferences that deliver tangible improvements in college and career readiness and personal learning effectiveness through experiential learning. This program was held in the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University. I was so happy that I will get to visit the university that I wanted to go. This program gave me choices of what I want to be and what I need to do for my future career. During this program, I had an opportunity to go to Johns Hopkins Hospitals as well to participate in standardized patient simulation. The experience was incredible and I learned a lot from it. I also had a chance to attend a lecture give n by the university graduate student at Johns Hopkins University. This visiting was a truly the best experience that I have ever had in my life. Even though he has passed away, he will always have a spot for love in my heart.
Johns Hopkins influences and teaches me in many different ways. He plays a huge role model and has unbelievable impact on me. He is a special and strong person in my eyes. He gives me hope and strength from his lifestyles and accomplishment. He had been through so much in his life but he tried his best and never gave up. I believe no matter what happens to me in life, I will always pick myself up and keep moving forward just like him. He encourages me to have braveness, confidence and success in life. I admire and respect him for everything he had done. Now, I understand what an extraordinary influence Johns Hopkins has in my life, and thus I am ready to become one just like him.
